I am excited for the new school year to begin. This will be a new adventure for me because the school I transferred to is IB recognized, and it is a Title I campus (economically disadvantaged). The IB program and its rationale are the reasons why I became a teacher. It does not only "develop students' academic, social and emotional well-being," but also fosters independent thinkers who have "international-mindedness and strong personal values." I look forward to the upcoming challenges: merging the IB curriculum with the state standards and being creative, flexible to meet student needs.
