My students are juniors and seniors and many have more than one AP class. They are very motivated life long learners. All of the students have a goal for high school and beyond. Each one of them is unique with there own special qualities. Our class contains athletes, thespians, musicians, artist, and active participants in a variety of clubs. They have come to form sort of a community where they help each other out. Most are motivated to learn about the environment and how they can help bring about change. Our school has about 2500 students but it does not feel that large because we make a point to make connections with our students. Our campus is beautifully landscaped and we are fortunate to have a desert preserve behind the school that enhances the aesthetics of the campus. We will go out to the preserve to conduct many of our experiments.
