In a diverse community, my students are challenged to find books that can reflect events that they can connect to or see themselves in the characters. I want students to enhance their knowledge of the world and communities that surround them. Through these new texts, I will engage students in instructional read-alouds teaching important reading strategies to enhance their literacy skills By donating to the books in this project, you will allow students to explore their identity, shape reading and writing skills, and become avid readers. Help us create an environment where we can comfortably read, engage in important discussions, and collaborate. Where students learn to love reading.
