Our course uses MIT's App Inventor to teach students how to build apps. Using the tablets our students will combine technology and programming with civic responsibility and creativity. The socially useful apps the students create will incorporate their own art and/or music while also making a difference in our communities. The tablets are integral for students to develop their computational thinking and programming skills. Tablets will also allow the students to fully access the AP computer science curriculum. For some of these students this is the first AP course they have taken. With your help, our students will gain invaluable skills while making a difference.
