Real-world experiences allow students to understand how they can face challenges and use their critical thinking to learn and apply skills. In this project based learning activity students will answer the driving question, "What engages graphic novel readers and keeps them coming back for more?" To answer this question students will work in literature circles to read and analyze a graphic novel. Groups will collect information on the features and qualities of graphic novels to share with one another. Once their study is complete they will apply their learning to write and publish their own graphic novels.
