I teach in a small elementary school in south Louisiana. My class is made up of 20 students, 12 girls and 8 boys. Two of my students have special education accommodations and one is in process to be evaluated. My students love hands-on activities and they especially love technology. The number of students that learn best through technology based methods has grown dramatically, even in kindergarten. Students are immersed in a technology driven world, but lack that technology in the classroom. Students of today are unique because they are able to easily manipulate and use technology even at the beginning of the school year. Technology is no longer an area in which students need extensive training. This project will allow instruction for all learning levels through rigorous small group lessons utilizing technology with iPads.
