With your donation I will be able to purchase a novel set that will be shared by my four classes of seventh graders in my Social Studies and Writing class. The novel will be integrated with our study of the Industrial Revolution and Immigration. We will read the novel daily, discuss our reading in a book club style and write reflectively on our reading. Reading the novel "Uprising" will allow students to make connections with the hot topic of immigration past and present and allow students to reflectively respond to their reading in writing. At the end of our study, students will complete a culminating novel project.
