Every year our school puts on a Cinco De Mayo show, where students honor and celebrate the Mexican culture. Through research and exploration, my 4th Grade students would like to perform an Aztec dance. When asked what was the most important item they would need to create a performance that truly showed respect to the culture, they all said the headdress was the most important. I want to make this as authentic of an experience for my students. There goal is to showcase the diverse culture of Mexico in a respectful way and teach others the importance of learning about all cultures.
