I teach at a very low income school. Most of my students have not grown up with academics being the main priority in their lives. With that being said, most of my students do not receive much academic support at home. It's my goal as a teacher to provide as much academic support at school as possible. I believe that if my students are able to read it will open up a world of opportunities for them to be successful. My students are very hard workers and often benefit from practice and repetition. I work at a great school which provides lots of academic, emotional, and financial support for our students. There are lots of intervention programs for our students. Unfortunately, not every student qualifies for these intervention programs. All of my students need to know they are capable of being successful!
