My students are college bound! My students are AVID students. This means that they are students who had to meet specific requirements to get into AVID. In general, AVID students are in the middle academically. They are A and B students, well-behaved, and are motivated and working toward attending college. My AVID students are neither remedial or academically advanced. They are just extremely dedicated to school and goal-oriented, especially when it comes to attending college. They just need the guidance of an AVID teacher to provide them with tools for success such as Cornell note-taking, binder organization, critical reading skills, and much more.
