By donating to my project, you will provide students with the opportunity to utilize a space in the counseling room when they need an outlet to relax, calm down, or take a few minutes to reset with some deep breaths and gain some positive energy. The school day can be long and mentally exhausting for many students. I am hopeful that this space will be a space that students can feel comfortable and relax when they need a "break." It will also provide a comfortable area to sit and speak to the counselor when needed. It is so important to me that students know that when they come to the counseling room, it is a safe and calming space where they can chat in confidence. The materials that have been chosen are appropriate for across grade levels. Help me give my students a space to feel comfortable that includes tools and manipulatives such as a Calming Colors Big Beanbag Seats, sensory window, bean bag chair, etc. to utilize when they need to calm down or relax during the school day!
