Our school is described as a community school. We have 950 students who range from the poorest of the poor to the middle class. Some of our students only get the opportunity to use technology at school. These children learn so fast when a laptop or tablet is put in front of them. I have seen faces that never smile light up like a light bulb because of the opportunity to use a computer. The excitement that comes across their faces when it is a day we are going to use computers in amazing. I have used every available resource to try and get Chromebooks for the library. Right now to use the few we have, I have to sign up for a time and a date. Well that means that only one of the 46 homerooms I see get to use the Chromebooks. I am not able to use them so that everyone gets a chance. These wonderful kids deserve an opportunity to use as much technology as possible.
