My students come from a low socioeconomic county in which our school is more often than not the best place for them to be. I have eighteen spunky, social students this year who love using technology in the classroom. They enjoy exploring the many ways iPads can be used for learning, and they discover new things through experimenting in new apps. They are actively engaged in learning apps through song and games, which can sometimes get pretty noisy and distracting. They are always eager to show me their scores on putting numbers in order in the quickest time or how they were able to spell a word. Their learning has quickly transformed this year, as well as my teaching, thanks to these learning devices.
