This project will help me create a classroom specially to teach students how to identify emotional triggers and teach them how to manage their reactions with the use of meditation and relaxation techniques. The relaxation mats will be used to set up the classroom as place where student can refocus. The classroom will be set up with subdued lights with essential oils being filter in the air and soft relaxing music will be playing. Students will be taught to identify and understand their triggers. Students will then be taught relaxation/meditation techniques. The relaxation/meditation room will be opened all day for student to use when they are in distress and need to center themselves before returning to the classroom for real learning to occur.
