Our school is very typical filled with kids who love sports, video games and outdoor play. In the past, our library environment hasn't fostered a huge love of learning so our kids have been lacking that exposure. Our teachers' days are filled with test prep and teaching our standards as well as many who squeeze in a read a loud here and there. Our library's goal has shifted to embedding a love of reading into our students' lives - into their very being. These days, competing with video games, social media time demands and extracurricular activities, forces our library to up our game!

About my class
