My school is in a low to middle socioeconomic standing with a good mix of diversity. We are also in one of the largest districts in the state. I teach all eighth grade US History and in that age group its hard to keep kids interested. With a classroom kids want to visit each day it makes my job easier and also helps facilitate learning on a deeper level. Keys to making that happen are convenience, organization, comfort, respect, and content knowledge. As a newer teacher I am building my classroom from the ground up and just don't have the things I need yet, but from year to year and by gathering equipment we will get there.
