Some of my students have extremely high goals of attending Harvard and becoming scientists, while many students cannot see themselves graduating high school...and MY goal is to change those beliefs. To make sure that every one of my students is not only ready for 6th grade, but that they have a goal to reach for and to never give up on themselves. Our school and classroom are located in a low-income community and the student population is fluid, with students often moving from school to school and apartment to apartment. I want my students to be excited to come to school and to feel like they can grow and expand beyond where they are now.
