My students are energetic and enthusiastic learners. My students come from many different life experiences, but the thing they have in common is their desire to learn. The goal we set at the beginning of the year is to be better. Every day when my students walk through the door, they commit to being better than the day before. They understand that their education is a dynamic process, never stagnating, always growing and changing, and always moving forward. We support each other, understanding that we are all trying to get to the same place by the end of year. They want to be ready for junior high. I am amazed by the kindness of my students, their ability to empathize with their classmates, their concern for their futures, and their ability to be serious about their job of learning. At the same time, my students maintain a sense of humor so they keep the lightness in their spirits. I am a privileged teacher to have such a stellar group of students.
