I am a teacher from one of the poorest communities in our school district. Many of my students come to me with very limited skills as well as language barriers. It has been proven that when we can teach all the students through interactive technology, it incorporates the visual and kinesthetic learning tools that help every child excel. Unfortunately, we do not have the funding to provide our youngest students with this advantage. Our district's limited budget has put limitations on where the funds for technology are spent. As a Kindergarten teacher, I have had the opportunity to see how engaged students are when attending to lessons on an interactive whiteboard. With the limited space in my classroom, the eBeam Edge can turn any of my whiteboards into this amazing tool of the 21st century, which will provide my students with the same advantage of students from more affluent communities.
