Music is the foundation to our society and our emotional well-being as humans. Through this grant, we hope to provide educational opportunities in which students can explore their emotions and work as a team to create beautiful music. This music will be used for our students from 5th grade to 12th grade. We will perform this music for contests, festivals, for our community, in concerts, and for nursing homes in our community. COVID-19 has impacted our entire student population, and band has provided a safe place for students to find success by expressing themselves and working together. This music will provide them opportunities to perform different genres, difficulty levels, and styles. We hope to further their love of music and keep pushing them further in their music education.
