These items will help the classroom to look more vibrant and encourage students to work together in groups. It also provides choice so that students have the ability to sit where they would like to complete their work. I have had alternative seating in other districts and I gave seen the benefits and the excitement that comes with circle time or Daily 5 when students know that they have the option to sit in different places in the classroom. Without alternative seating, some students will choose to sit on the floor just to be more comfortable while working. These items will give students something to sit on rather than sitting on the floor.
