Each day my students come excited to explore new concepts and experiences. I have 40 enthusiastic students who love to read. Technology is not the only means by which they gain comprehension, but definitely keeps students engaged and motivated. My students are fun and energetic first graders. Learning starts with fun activities such as singing and dancing the alphabet. Next, we have reading and writing workshops. We are in a low income school with limited resources, but that does not stop their desire to learn. They are first generation American and live below poverty level. My students don't have technology at home therefore, all the learning involving technology must be done at school. Currently, we only have 3 outdated desktops that are very slow however, my students love their online reading activities. So much more could be done with up to date tablets.
