My students are awesome kids. Most of them are from low-income environments as well as blended homes. I have several students that live with grandparents, aunts or uncles, as well as foster homes. My classes consist of 70, 4th grade students, divided into three classrooms. They enjoy doing all the fun science activities that we do in class. My classroom is very hands-on and interactive. Teaching the Next Generation Science Standards requires incorporating the engineering design into most lessons. I teach math as well as science. I like teaching science, but I love teaching math.
