Many of my students stay busy outside of school with work or extracurricular activities, so many of them know what it means to work hard for something. This attitude carries over into the classroom. Unfortunately, we do not always have enough books to check them out to students or even enough for a class set for when they are absent. This prevents the study of certain novels.
