My third grade students are enrolled in one of SSFUSD elementary schools that serve low and middle income families. I presently have 22 students in my classroom, including 4 English language learners, and 3 special needs children. These caring students come with various backgrounds and skills. They come to school eagerly curious about what they will learn for the day. We talk every day about changes in technology and their faces glow with excitement at the news. They are also curious about what skills they must acquire in order to successfully participate in this technological future. It is my hope that with the addition of the iPad and the "Time For Kids" subscription that we can continue this sense of wonder and amazement. We will use the Post-it Tabletop Easel Pads for anchor charts during writing time. As we explore the writing process, these charts are convenient and the students can refer back to them throughout the year.
