Most of my students hate reading and are very loud about this fact. This hatred of reading has really come from the fact that reading is difficult for them. Graphic novels allow students to access reading through pictures helping to tell the story and connect the dots for them. The colorful pages also help to draw their attention! These books will contribute to my classroom library, and the growing graphic novel collection, where students can check out books to take home and read at their leisure, or in class during free-read time.
