My school is located in an incredibly diverse town which makes our school unique. Some of my students are first and second generation immigrants while others have parents who grew up and, went to the same school as their children. The one thing that all my students have in common is a lifetime struggle with reading. I am a Special Education teacher and many of my students struggle with dyslexia, auditory processing disorders and ADHD to name a few. I am hoping to instill a love of reading by providing interesting materials that are at the right reading level. I have found that students are highly motivated to read books and discover new vocabulary if the materials are appropriate and, interesting. This project will help instill a passion for reading which will allow my students to be forever free!
