I have 14 gifted first grade students in my classroom. It is an even mix of boys and girls. Our classroom is a family like learning environment where the students get along together nicely. My students are always eager to help each other. They also stick up for each other when needed. My students seem to learn better when we are doing hands on activities. The social studies tubs will allow them to use their different learning styles and address all of the Florida Standards. Our school is a small family like environment. Our administration works hard on getting to know the students. Our principal visits the classrooms often! Parents are also very involved in our school. We have an active PTA that supports us and tries to provide things the school needs as a whole.
