I teach 9th grade Biology to a number of special education, gifted and talented, and low socioeconomic students. Reading and writing is vital in college and I am hoping to inspire all my students to pursue that opportunity. Unfortunately, many students struggle to understand how learning Biology (or any science/math) will help them in the future outside of school or they don't see themselves as college-bound. I hope that by providing a way for them to see science in action through a Science World magazine subscription, we can inspire them to develop their talents in reading and writing in science and math.

About my class
