Throughout the Social Studies curriculum are found the standards that call for thinking in terms of analyze (SS.9-12.CE.15), assess (SS.9-12.CE.13), evaluate (SS.9-12.CE.1517), critique (SS.9-12.CE.19), describe (SS.9-12.CE.46), and evaluate (SS.9-12.CE.45)., etcetera. Six Thinking Hats by Edward de Bono is an interactive method that will help students develop the practice of thinking and thus the confidence they need to express their thoughts. In addition, it will help students become comfortable with their identity as well as their thinking capability and ready them to confidentially take the next steps on their life journey.
