I have a very diverse classroom of 26 wonderful students. The majority of my students are receiving free/reduced lunch. Many of my students don't have books at home because they simply cannot afford them. In addition to this, I have 4 students that have an IEP, so learning comes with an extra challenge to them, and I also have 5 students that are ENL, so English is not their first language. Connecting to the diverse students in my classroom is something that I find important to their success, so it's key that my students stay connected, engaged, and get excited about the text that they read!
