My students will use the math activity rug to further develop their math skills. It will help with everything from counting and operations to place value and comparing numbers. It will serve as a daily tool to teach lessons and provide a review as my students rotate through math stations. My project will make a huge difference for my kinesthetic learners who need to be up and physically engaged. My goal is to instill a love for math and diminish the anxiety students sometimes associate with it. I think this project will show students how fun and engaging playing with numbers can be while learning at the same time.
