Every day, I strive to meet each student exactly where they are in their learning and nudge them forward. However, one of the biggest challenges I face is finding the adequate time that each of my students deserves. In a classroom with 22 kiddos, this can prove to be a challenging task. I will use the iPads so that students are never forced to re-learn what they already know or be pushed to a point of frustration/giving up. Implementing the use of iPads in the classroom will ensure that students have access to a much wider range of books, reading opportunities, and fun-math skills apps. There are a ton of quality educational apps that are designed to support instruction in all subject areas. With the iPads, I plan to shift my instruction to inquiry-based learning by implementing centers. For example, during math, I plan to teach a mini-lesson, then send students off to work in stations where they are practicing skills at their level. Not only will the devices help me differentiate instruction, but they will also help me track student progress on a daily basis.
