Creating a calming area for my students with learning disabilities, health impairments, and emotional disabilities will help them to learn how to deal with stressing situations and it will enable them to build life skills to deal with difficult situations and then return to their normal routine. Often times, my students need a quiet place to sort through their emotions and thought patterns. Creating a safe place with a cool down bag, will help them to work through their frustrations and stay at school instead of trying to escape their stressors and there by missing an opportunity to learn. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention, focus, and mental health, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

About my class
