This year I decided to create a project because of the need I see in my classroom. My students need paper, crayons, glue, and notebooks just to begin simple daily tasks. These tasks include writing down their homework, taking a spelling test, and decorating a group poster. If I can supply them with these common items, it provides parents some much needed financial relief. The thought of having an iPad in the class was so awesome that my students have helped me create a rotation schedule! Yes, my first graders are ready to play educational games on an iPad. The iPad, as well as the mouse and mouse pads, will be used in the computer center. Here the students are given 20 minutes per group rotation to participate in district approved programs, such as I-Ready, to foster learning and bridge the learning gap. The carts/dolly will be welcomed on library days. These kids are way too small to carry around such weight. They will also come in handy during book distribution.
