My classroom is referred to as the self contained or district classroom. My students are not traditional high school students and we learn more through elementary education type activities. I teach them life skills and vocational skills. We learn through games and puzzles. Each child has specific goals that they need help on and having a variety of activities available helps meet the needs of all students. I have non speaking students, autistic students, and down syndrome students. All these disabilities need different needs meet each day.
