Our school serves 600+ students in Pre-K through Fifth Grade. Our children are high poverty with 100% of the students receiving free breakfast and lunch. The library is a place of exploration, and allows students the chance to experience opportunities that may be out of reach to them because of their socio-economic status. I love to see the looks on their faces when that "light bulb" moment occurs during our lessons. Having new centers and furniture would help create those moments more often during their time in the media center.
