Ten high schools feed into my program, as it is the only option for advanced computer science and programming for most of the locations. We serve a broad background of students with a wide range of socio-economic, ethnic, and gender background. Our students are committed to learning computer science and spend over two hours in class daily developing programs and learning computer science. As part of the program students earn 12 hours of concurrent enrollment credit with our local colleges. Students use Java, Swift, and SQL as the programming languages in this program and create multiple applications they can share outside of the classroom, including iOS apps.
