The class is made up of a mixture of individual personalities, learning styles and learning challenges, but together we are a community that looks out for each other. I maintain high expectations for each one as I gently push them forward according to their needs. The environment is warm and friendly; therefore, students are always participating and bringing their knowledge to the discussion, which helps enrich the material. I would describe my school as a building of many dreamers who work together to overcome the many challenges that we face on a daily basis being a Title 1 school. We dream big and are striving for STEM certification. We will achieve our dreams with hard work and determination from teachers, students, parent and community help. We also teach our students to dream big for themselves by teaching goal setting and revisiting/adjusting until it is reached. Never allowing them to give up.
