I work in a low-income school where 18 different ethnic groups make up our diverse student body. Many of our students begin their education without knowing their alphabet and not having many experiences with literature. Several students have to learn English as their second language. Our school serves 75% of the students free and reduced lunch. We have free breakfast in the classroom every morning to eliminate students being hungry throughout the day. Our school's environment is very friendly and every teacher goes out of their way to make a difference in these children's lives.

About my class
