The students in my school range from a variety of backgrounds; consisting of children who come from poverty stricken homes, to students who come from affluent homes. The school also consists of a very large Spanish speaking population, and these students have very little support at home. Our school is labeled a Title I school, which means at least 40% of the population is at the poverty level. We are also on the New York State schools, in need of improvement list.
