My school is a Title 1 school. We don't have a lot of resources like other schools. Last year, we were without a lot of help and we ended up being designated Improvement Required. These children deserve to have all the wonderful learning experiences children at other schools have. They already have a lot of adversity to overcome. My children are bright five year old kids who are excited to be at school and learn. They love experiencing something new. Simple things like glitter or getting to use their markers excites them about being at school. They love learning their letters by creating a letter project each day and I love seeing the smiles on their faces when they read a book on their own. Most of them are genuinely driven to learn and I love that about them.
