My students are a unique group of 2nd graders. I have a very diverse classroom with different ethnicities, races and genders. They love to learn and love to achieve. I work at a Title One school with very limited resources and students who are less fortunate. But they come to school with hope and faith in their teacher who will soar them to that next level. They want to learn and expand their minds beyond the 2nd grade level and they are just waiting to excel. Even though the resources are not available to my students they have the creativity to just say it's okay we can create a game with imaginary materials. What I love most about my students is they don't see an issue in any bad situation, they see the outcome of success in the bigger picture. They show me each and every day what our future generation is going to be like in the next 10 years. It fills my heart with joy just to see what great things we have in store for our future generations to come.
