I teach sixth grade English Language Arts in a public school that is located in a Denham Springs, a suburb of Baton Rouge, LA. Our school family, including administration, faculty, and students have recently experience great devastation by the thousand year flood in Louisiana. Our school and a huge percentage of homes in our area were flooded with anywhere from 3 to 6 ft. of water. Though we are living in difficult times, it is my joy to encourage my students daily to still strive for excellence. As they aim high, they find that I am on their side making sure they have the tools necessary for success. It's so rewarding to see students reap the rewards of their hard work!

About my class
