Independent from being able to produce a live show, students will be able to get practical experience with stage lighting. Students will explore lighting basics while designing for specific moods or atmospheres by installing and operating stage lighting units. Lighting affects our everyday lives and it is important for technical theatre students to understand these basics, even if we cannot put on a live show due to COVID restrictions! Each student will create their own designs while learning how to safely hang and focus stage lights. This practical application lighting cart will give them the hands-on learning experience they crave and deserve.

About my class
