I teach a group of first grade students at a school that is my second home. The kids come from a very wide variety of backgrounds. Whether they live in a mansion or an R.V., they are all equal at school. I want all of them to have a love for school and learning no matter what their home situation provides. My students are on my mind as much as my own children. I am constantly trying to find new and engaging ways for them to learn. Hands on activities are a must to keep my energetic little bodies engaged. Having a wide variety of activities to introduce them to every week is what will keep my classroom an exciting place where they will LOVE to independently practice their skills.
