My students are fantastic. Like any teacher, I believe that most of them truly have a desire to learn. My classes are computer based, so it's always a difficult task to keep them interest in my subject material rather than play games. One advantage I have is the ability to teach them Adobe Photoshop. Once the kids have a chance to learn a few tools in Photoshop, they get excited with what they can create. The problem I run into is not having cameras that they can take pictures with. So right now, we just take photos off of Google and use those. Having the ability to take your own pictures will allow the students to do everything for the assignment rather than copy and paste from Google. For my media tech class, having these cameras will allow the students to not only develop a love for photography but also prepare them for photography 1 next year. Something that is difficult to do without having cameras.
