My students are a diverse group of second grade students. They love math. They are not easily discouraged. They are children who love to come to school. They are considered at risk for failing. They are happy kids who love to be encouraged and celebrated. My campus is a Title I campus. This means we are an economically disadvantaged campus. We have a lots of foster kids on our campus. We have single parent families. Some of our students are being raised by grandparents. We have two parent home students. We recognize students as being part of the ___ family. The blank is for the teacher's last name. Each family (teacher's classes) has an opportunity to do morning announcements. Our principal announces the birthdays for the day. She announces the weekend birthdays during the week also. At the end of the school year she announces the summer birthdays. My campus is one that teaches students academics, self worth and appreciation for others. We give out positive referrals.
