All of my students love learning through hands on baskets. In fact over 75% of my students are ASD and need a structured system of learning. They thrive with this system in place. I have had to use what the class has in it and make and create things for the kids to use, but they haven't truly been what the kiddos needed. I would use the bookcase with the bins to store the materials needed on a daily basis. The students need visual supports to use on the work system. They also need the visuals to communicate with the teacher for questions and to understand the instructions. My ASD students depend on the visuals to move throughout their day which includes the work bin system.
