The preschoolers love books. They love to be read too and use their imaginations to create happy endings. The students in my preschool could explore the reading center all day if allowed to stay in one area. This is almost as good as going outside for recess to them. They won't be able to use this book storage couch at home but they will become more organized and independent when reading and placing books back in their proper place. It is important that they learn to be responsible in all aspects of learning activities. Riding the wave of their imagination is what preschoolers do everyday. The more words they know and how to put them together builds an exciting vocabulary and speech pattern. In my classroom reading is encouraged in all of the lessons. It is so much better when they are comfortable and feel relaxed to laugh at funny pictures or be inquisitive. It would be a sheer delight if the toddlers had a comfy spot to call their own as they read or be read too. What a start to becoming a great writer.
